About the Role: 

We are looking for a hands on Maintenance & Property Lead to join our team at Durham Green Village. 

Remuneration package $88,500 inclusive of Super +Salary packaging

This is a practical site based role suited to someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure a safe, compliant and welcoming environment for residents and staff. Working closely with the Village Manager, contractors and the wider team to play a key role in our community supporting our residents. 

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm with flexibility may be required to support the operations of the village.  

What you will be responsible for 

  • Delivering preventative and reactive maintenance across buildings, equipment and grounds 

  • Undertaking general repairs, maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure the village is presented in a high standard 

  • Conducting routine inspections of buildings, equipment and village grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety risks 

  • Managing and coordinating contractors and service providers onsite ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with agreed terms. 

  • Maintaining compliance with Retirement Village Act standards, Council regulations and WHS requirements 

  • Supporting asset management, minor capital works, refurbishments and improvements 

  • Maintaining accurate maintenance systems and reporting requirements 

  • Ability to work independently and working closely with the Village Manager and site teams to provide excellent service while minimising disruption to residents 

  • Providing occasional bus driving for resident outings and servicing requirements.

About You: 

What we would like you to bring  

  • A trade qualification in a building related discipline or equivalent experience in facilities, property or maintenance services. 

  • Demonstrated hands on experience delivering maintenance across commercial, residential or property environments 

  • Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications and maintenance systems 

  • Experience managing contractors and multiple priorities in a busy environment 

  • A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail with an ability to work independently  

  • Alignment with BaptistCare values and a genuine commitment to working in a resident focused environment 

  • A Light (LR) or Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s licence, or willingness to obtain (BaptistCare funded)
