About The Role
As our Refresh Retreat Program Facilitator, you'll play an important role in delivering BaptistCare's dementia respite retreats, helping people living with dementia and their carers get the most from their experience. You'll work alongside participants, carers and BaptistCare staff to support the smooth running of the program and contribute to positive retreat experiences.
In this dynamic role, you will:
- Assess participant suitability and support informed participation decisions
- Coordinate retreat logistics and manage key stakeholder relationships
- Lead and inspire retreat teams to deliver outstanding experience
- Facilitate engaging education and wellbeing sessions
- Support participants and carers through safe, person-centred experiences
- Manage risks and respond confidently to changing situations
- Contribute to quality improvement and help shape the future of BaptistCare's specialist dementia respite services

We are seeking somebody to work 4 days a week; Monday to Thursday with facilitation of retreats when planned Tuesday to Thursday. Retreat locations will vary across the following areas; greater Sydney region, Sydney basin, Central Coast, Wollongong & Kiama.

About You
You're a confident facilitator, natural relationship builder and compassionate professional who thrives in people-focused environments.
You'll bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a clinical or allied health field, social work, community services, dementia care or a related discipline (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
- Experience supporting people living with dementia, older people and their carers within community, aged care or respite settings
- Experience delivering and coordinating community-based respite or wellbeing programs
- Demonstrated ability to assess participant needs, manage complex situations and exercise sound professional judgement
- Strong leadership, coaching and facilitation skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of dementia care and person-centred practice
- Ability to identify, assess and manage participant and operational risks
- Full drivers license and access to own vehicle
Additional Requirements
- Capacity and willingness to stay overnight during 3-day, 2-night Refresh Retreat programs
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by program delivery
Highly Regarded
- Training or qualifications in dementia practice, behavioural support or group facilitation
- Experience working within government-funded community programs
