About the Role:

As a Finance Manager (Financial Accounting Manager), you will lead a team to deliver quality accounting services for Retirement Living business. You’ll build strong relationships with operational management, support the wider Finance Team, and ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting and compliance. Your focus will be on efficient financial systems, precise data management, and continual process improvement, while fostering team development and upholding Work Health and Safety standards.

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, this role will also:

  • Lead and deliver monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the WA portfolio.
  • Manage the WA budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with Group assumptions and providing timely financial insights to operational leaders.
  • Provide day-to-day finance business partnering support to WA Retirement Living stakeholders, driving accountability and performance.
  • Oversee transition activities related to the WA Portfolio under the Transitional Services Agreement (TSA), ensuring strong governance and a smooth integration into BAU post completion of the TSA.
  • Identify potential financial risks across the WA portfolio and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to support operational performance, governance requirements, and compliance obligations.

About You:

  • Qualified Accountant CA or CPA
  • Demonstrated experience performing a broad range of responsibilities in a similar role
  • Supervision experience and building team capacity
  • Sound experience in Financial Management Systems
  • Experience in interpreting and implementing Funding Agreements, Acquittals, Reconciliations and Reporting
  • Experience in financial analysis and interpreting data
  • Background in the Retirement Living sector or similar is highly regarded
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build key relationships
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work
