About the Role:
Are you passionate about building strong, empowered communities? As the Community Development Pathways Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role and lead the Community Development team in shaping and delivering HopeStreet’s community-led initiatives, working with local residents, organisations, and stakeholders to create lasting impact.
This is more than a leadership role – it’s an opportunity to guide place-based programs, co-design initiatives with women and local communities, and foster partnerships that drive meaningful, sustainable change. You’ll empower women and community members to lead, engage, and thrive, while supporting your team to deliver high-quality, values-driven programs that make a real difference.
About You:
You’re a community leader who thrives on building relationships, empowering others, and driving positive change. You bring experience in community development or social impact programs, understand trauma-informed and culturally safe practices, and enjoy working alongside diverse communities and stakeholders to create meaningful, lasting impact.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or post grad qualifications in Community Development, Social work or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years working in a Community Services environment and Community Development
- Demonstrated experience working with people experiencing marginalisation and vulnerability
- Hold valid NSW Drivers Licence
Essential Competencies
- Ability in creating, developing and implementing program plans within the Best Practice Frameworks of the Community Service Sector.
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work
