About the Role

Located in the heart of Prestons, BaptistCare Blue Hills Manor is a welcoming and homely aged care residence, offering 67 single bedrooms. Co-located with BaptistCare Blue Hills Retirement Village, the home provides 24-hour care and support to residents, catering to all needs and requirements while empowering them to retain their sense of independence. Residents can enjoy various areas, from the communal lounge room to beautifully landscaped gardens, making our home their home.

Reporting directly to the Residential Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing management, direction, and leadership to the Care Team.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of innovative, resident-focused care and systems.
  • Managing employees and resources to meet organisational and facility strategic objectives.
  • Ensuring team efficiency and quality service delivery to provide high-quality care that aligns with BaptistCare’s philosophy of care delivery.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the aged care sector.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Sound knowledge of AN-NAC, care planning, Aged Care standards, and auditing.
  • The ability to provide management and leadership that fosters trust and positive qualities in all team members.
  • An understanding of the impact of complex care needs and the ability to apply high-level clinical knowledge, including palliative care and dementia care.
  • Willingness to work after hours on an On-Call Rotation.
