About the Role   

BaptistCare is one of Australia’s largest home care providers and a leader in service quality and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to join our growing team.

The Nursing Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, operational management and clinical governance of nursing services within BaptistCare’s Home Care function.  

We are looking for a dedicated RN to join us on an initial 12-month contract (NSW or ACT). A core responsibility is to drive the growth and expansion of nursing services, identifying new opportunities and building strategic partnerships to broaden reach and impact. The Manager will analyse emerging needs and trends, proactively adapting and expanding services to meet changing community demands, and positioning BaptistCare as a leader of home-based care.

Other responsibilities will include;

Leadership and Team Management

  • Provide strategic and values-based leadership to the nursing team, fostering a culture of integrity and continuous improvement.
  • Lead, support, and develop a high-performing nursing workforce, ensuring collaboration and excellence.

Operational and Service Management

  • Oversee daily operations of Home Care Nursing services, ensuring efficient resource use and client satisfaction.
  • Assess nursing services against KPIs and benchmarks, using data to drive improvements.

Continuous Improvement and Innovative Practice

  • Champion innovative systems and processes to support excellence in care delivery.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and service enhancement.

Clinical Governance

  • Ensure all services comply with legislation, Aged Care Quality Standards, and BaptistCare policies.
  • Promote the highest clinical standards, ensuring care is evidence-based and client-focused.

Client Engagement and Advocacy

  • Champion person-centred care, upholding clients’ dignity, autonomy, and choices.
  • Respond effectively and compassionately to client and family feedback.

Stakeholder Engagement and Representation

  • Represent BaptistCare positively at forums, networks, and industry events.
  • Contribute to organisational strategic planning and policy development.


   
Your Team   

The Home Care function enables BaptistCare to deliver on its mission by providing high-quality, person-centred care services within the community. Through working in partnership with clients, families, staff, and stakeholders, the team supports clients in living independently, with dignity and choice, in the comfort of their own homes. This approach focuses on addressing each client’s unique and individual needs with utmost professionalism and care.  

You will work in close partnership with the General Manager, Home Care Allied Health and Nursing; the General Manager, Home Care Operations (NSW/ACT/WA); Home Care Senior Managers (NSW/ACT/WA); and the Manager of Allied Health  (NSW/ACT/WA), as well as senior leaders across operational and support functions.

 

About You 

Essential qualifications and experience

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. 
  • Current Australian driver’s license and capacity to travel between sites as required. 
  • Minimum of 7 years’ nursing experience with demonstrated expertise in aged care, community-based services and management.   
  • Experience in managing budgets, resources, and service delivery in alignment with organisational values and strategic goals. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead innovation and implement service improvements based on data and best practice.
