About the Role:

As a Business Analyst, you will work with stakeholders from all parts of BaptistCare to elicit requirements and capture business needs, to articulate and document business requirements, to conduct as-is/to-be business process mapping and business process design, to participate in project delivery through design reviews and walk-throughs, to validate and communicate outcomes.

You’ll play a pivotal role in transforming aged care through technology by supporting the selection and rollout of our new national clinical records platform across all 51 aged care homes. You’ll assess existing clinical systems, conduct market scans for alternative solutions, and evaluate applications to identify the best platform for BaptistCare. Beyond selection, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the implementation of the chosen solution, ensuring smooth integration into daily operations and delivering tangible benefits for both residents and staff. This is a unique opportunity to apply your analytical expertise, process insight, and passion for improving clinical care through innovative technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead structured analysis and documentation to support the selection and implementation of a national clinical records platform, reducing the risk of vendor or configuration issues.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, capturing clinical and operational requirements, workflows, and concerns to ensure all perspectives are reflected in evaluation and design decisions.
  • Conduct detailed gap analysis of current clinical systems to define must-have features, ensuring the new solution meets both operational and clinical needs.
  • Develop evaluation criteria and assessment metrics, providing objective, transparent comparison of vendor solutions.
  • Analyse and document all cost components, highlighting variances and providing insights to support informed financial decision-making.
  • Support transition and implementation planning, clarifying priorities, sequencing, and dependencies to ensure smooth adoption across all 51 aged care homes.
  • Translate complex processes and data into clear, actionable insights to guide strategic decisions and optimise clinical operations.

About the Team:

The Information & Digital team drives innovation and transforms care at BaptistCare through cutting-edge technology, seamless operations, and smart risk management. You’ll join a collaborative, solutions-focused team that values creativity, flexibility, and turning complex projects into real-world impact for our frontline teams.

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a business analyst delivering complex process, data and system change initiatives.
  • Previous experience within healthcare and/or aged care sector or consultancy experience
  • Demonstrated experience working on enterprise system implementations or replacements, particularly clinical systems e.g.: (EHR, EMR solutions).
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology, Business Analysis or a related discipline.
  • Experience in mapping, analysing, and improving business processes using BPMN or other structured process methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of systems, data and integration concepts, with the ability to document application and data architectures.
  • Experience defining and supporting data and system migration approaches, including sequencing, dependencies and risk considerations.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for executives, business users and technical team
  • Previous experience participating on Project teams
  • Experience using business analysis and delivery tools such as Visio, Jira, Confluence, MS Project or equivalent.
  • Ability to develop relationships with key organisational stakeholders, including Execs and Business users.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously in a team environment.
