We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Officer who takes pride in keeping things running well, someone who sees a problem and sorts it out without waiting!

Based at our Macquarie Park site, this is a full-time role with real variety. No two days the same, a supportive team around you, and the satisfaction of knowing the work you do directly improves the lives of the residents you’re looking after.

THE ROLE

You’ll be the primary maintenance presence on site, managing the full range of preventative and reactive tasks across the facility. You’re on the tools, not behind a desk.

• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across buildings, plant, equipment, furniture, fittings, and paintwork
• Log, manage, and complete maintenance requests through the CMMS (Maintenance Connection)
• Maintain accurate records of asset acquisitions, disposals, and maintenance activities
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Site Manager on budget planning and asset management
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with staff and contractors
• Ensure all activities comply with WHS legislation and BaptistCare policies

ABOUT YOU

You’re practical, proactive, and take initiative without being asked. You bring a genuine can-do attitude and the trade knowledge to back it up.

• Solid hands-on maintenance experience — you’re someone who prefers being on the tools
• Trade background with relevant qualifications (highly regarded)
• Experience working with property-related contractors
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with a CMMS (Maintenance Connection or similar)
• Strong interpersonal skills — you work well independently and as part of a team
• Current driver’s licence
• Fire Safety Officer training (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in an aged care or healthcare environment (desirable)
• NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
