About the role

If you’re someone who brings calm, care and structure to busy environments, this role will feel like home. As our Admin Officer at Dorothy Henderson Lodge, you’ll be the friendly face and dependable organiser who keeps our home running smoothly.

Your work will be varied and meaningful. You’ll support residents and families with compassion, manage enquiries across phone, email and in person, maintain accurate records, prepare documents and reports, and ensure our office is organised and well‑run. You’ll assist with admissions and discharges, coordinate resident information, process accounts payable and receivable, reconcile trust accounts, and help maintain compliance through accurate documentation and timely follow‑up.

You’ll be the person people turn to for clarity, support and solutions, and your contribution will directly enhance the experience of those who live and work here. This role suits someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys helping others and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

About you

You’re someone who brings order, empathy and initiative to everything you do. To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in office administration with strong organisational skills

  • Confidence using Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM systems

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong numeracy skills and experience with banking or reconciliations

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach

  • Experience in aged care administration (desirable)

  • A genuine passion for supporting residents, families and staff
