About the Role:
Our new 130 bed Griffith Centre in Canberra is conveniently located near the CBD, Lake Burley Griffin, shopping precincts and local parks. This energy efficient and environmentally sustainable building has been designed to ensure we can meet the care needs of the local community now and into the future.
We are looking for a dedicated Laundry Assistant to deliver laundry services to our residents. You will enjoy working in a team who are committed and being able make a difference in the lives of residents at our Griffith Facility.
Duties may include
- Sorting & folding linen
- Labelling laundry packages and delivering them to the residents
- Working to achieve and maintain a high standard of cleanliness
We offer a competitive salary based on your previous experience from $26.51 - $29.94/hr + superannuation + penalties + salary packaging.
About you
The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve.
Previous experience in laundry along with understanding of work health and safety practices will be an advantage. You will also have the ability to work unsupervised and take on physically demanding tasks.
