As we continue to evolve as a unified national organisation, we are seeking a values led leader to shape how we govern and manage risk across our most critical programs and transformation initiatives. This full time, 12-month maximum term position can be based at any of our shared services locations.

This is a unique opportunity to directly deliver value and stakeholder confidence across major programs, whilst also influencing at an enterprise level to strengthen project risk frameworks, disciplines and skills during a period of major change.

Why this role matters

This role sits at the heart of a key enabler of how BaptistCare will deliver on its objectives – a portfolio of major programs and change activities.

You will partner with Executive leaders, program sponsors, and our Project Management Office (PMO), to strengthen and embed the processes and skills needed to ensure that program and project risk is understood early, managed well, and used to inform better decision making.

Your work will directly support our largest and most critical programs, and will put in place a strong foundation for the delivery and success of future projects.

Your impact

You will:

  • Shape and embed delivery risk frameworks, governance and processes across major programs and transformation initiatives
  • Establish and embed practical and scalable project and program risk governance and management frameworks across the portfolio
  • Provide clear, practical risk insights to Executives and governance forums
  • Partner with leaders and teams to stabilise and uplift risk processes in complex programs
  • Build skills and capabilities so project managers can own and manage project risk management with confidence
  • Drive a culture of transparency, accountability and proactive risk management

Who you are

You are a strategic risk and governance leader who thrives in complexity.

You bring:

  • Strong experience across enterprise programs, transformation or complex delivery environments
  • A deep understanding of program risk management and governance frameworks, as well as strong experience in developing and improving them
  • The ability to influence at Executive levels, while also staying practical and hands on
  • A natural strength in translating complexity into clear, actionable insight
  • A passion for building capability and uplifting how organisations deliver change.
  • A pragmatic approach, with a focus on enabling outcomes rather than creating process
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, risk, project management or a related discipline is expected, whilst postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications in risk, project management, governance or a related discipline are desirable.
