About the Role:

Located at Prestons, Blue Hills Manor Aged Care Home is a welcoming and homely aged care home offering 24-hour, care and support to residents.

As the Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-level clinical support and assessment for residents while also providing clinical leadership, support, and mentoring for Registered Nurses in the Aged Care Home. You will use your clinical expertise, leadership, and clear communication skills to assist with the provision of high-quality clinical care.

With a strong understanding of quality clinical care, you will lead, inspire, and educate care professionals to promote continual improvement of clinical care in the Aged Care Home. This role offers the opportunity to specialise in a clinical area such as palliative and dementia care while also providing a high level of general clinical expertise. 

We offer a competitive salary based on your previous experience $61.61hr + superannuation + penalties + salary packaging.

About You:

  • To be successful in this role, you will have:

    • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, with a minimum of three years’ clinical experience in aged care.
    • A postgraduate qualification relevant to aged care, together with at least 12 months’ demonstrated experience working in the specialty area of your qualification.
    • Previous clinical leadership experience, ideally within an aged care environment.
    • A sound understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to support the development and capability of others.
    • Knowledge of and commitment to the new Strengthened Standards and contemporary aged care practice.
    • An understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity, purpose and values.

Other Important Information:

  • Weekend work may be required.
  • Completion of prescribed mandatory training and annual appraisal development processes.
