About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Claims Lead to join our Finance team and provide operational leadership across BaptistCare’s Home Care claiming function. In this key role, you will coordinate claiming activities across multiple funding streams, ensuring claims are processed accurately, compliantly and within agreed service standards. Working closely with the Claims & Collections Manager, you will support quality assurance, operational performance, process improvement initiatives and team capability development.
You will play a critical role in managing claim exceptions, reconciliation discrepancies, compliance requirements and stakeholder relationships while contributing to system enhancements and organisational readiness activities associated with regulatory change. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining operational leadership, process improvement and financial compliance within a purpose-driven organisation.
About you:
- Relevant qualification in finance, accounting, business or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in aged care claiming, including HCP, CHSP and/or Support at Home
- Strong knowledge of Services Australia and My Aged Care claiming requirements and processes
- Demonstrated experience coordinating or leading operational teams in a claims, billing, finance or related environment
- Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex claiming issues
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, standardisation and implementation of operational controls
- Demonstrated ability to interpret funding requirements, identify financial and compliance risks, and exercise sound judgement
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with AlayaCare or similar care management systems.
- Experience supporting implementation of Support at Home reforms.
