About the Role

We’re seeking committed Casual Carers to join our team at Aminya Centre. In this role, you’ll support residents with warmth, compassion and professionalism, helping them live well every day. You’ll build meaningful relationships, assist with daily living tasks, and contribute to a safe, person‑centred environment.

We’re looking for carers with reliable availability who can support the team across busy periods and help maintain consistent, high‑quality care for residents.

Your Responsibilities

  • Resident connection — Build genuine, trusting relationships and understand individual needs

  • Personal care — Assist with showering, grooming, meals, mobility and manual handling

  • Meaningful engagement — Support activities that bring joy, purpose and social connection

  • Promoting independence — Uphold dignity and encourage resident choice

  • Communication — Report changes or concerns to ensure care plans remain accurate

About You

You bring compassion, patience and a genuine desire to support older people. You thrive in a team environment and have the practical skills to deliver safe, high‑quality care.

You will bring:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent, or be working toward completion

  • Experience in residential aged care or similar

  • Competence in personal care, mobility and manual handling

  • Strong commitment to person‑centred care and resident dignity

  • Good communication skills and the ability to build warm, trusting relationships

  • Reliable availability to support the team across busy periods

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and care plans

  • A positive, respectful and empathetic approach
