About Cooinda Court
Located just a short stroll from local shops and transport, Cooinda Court features peaceful retreat areas, barbecue facilities, and a recently renovated dining room serving freshly cooked, homely meals. The library, piano and sewing rooms also provide cosy settings in which to sit and relax, by yourself, with friends, or with your family.
Single rooms come partially furnished with a bed, wardrobe, drawers, chair and desk. You are welcome to bring some smaller furniture items from home as well as other decorations to transform the space and make it your own. You are never far from enjoying time with other residents and friends in our tastefully designed lounge and communal areas.
About the role
As the Lifestyle/Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident’s choices and independence.
In planning and organising all recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents’ needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are considered.
About you
The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve.
A relevant qualification such as Cert IV in Leisure & Health is essential.
Previous experience in an aged care setting along with understanding of work health and safety practices is highly desirable.
