About the Role

At BaptistCare The Gracewood Centre, mealtimes are more than just nourishment—they’re moments of comfort, connection, and joy. As our Chef Manager, you will lead a dedicated kitchen team to deliver fresh, nutritious, and beautifully presented meals that make every day special for our residents.

You will oversee all aspects of food service operations, including menu planning, budgeting, staff supervision, and compliance. A key part of this role involves engaging directly with residents to gather feedback and tailor meals to their preferences and dietary needs. Your leadership and creativity will help shape a dining experience that feels just like home.

About You

You are a qualified chef with a passion for people and a flair for leadership. You bring:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within aged care or healthcare

  • Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery such as Cert IV in Commercial Cookery

  • Demonstrated experience in applying HACCP principles.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and deliver exceptional customer service

  • Experience designing menus that meet diverse dietary needs
