About the role:

Baptistcare is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our residential aged care team, with opportunities available at two locations. We have positions at Gracehaven in Rockingham (98 beds) and Gracewood in Salter Point (110 beds), each offering 15 hours per week. You can choose the site closest to your home or work across both locations for a total of 30 hours per week.

Depending on your location, a pool car may be available for travel to Gracehaven (Rockingham). Vehicles can be reserved in advance and collected from our Belmont head office.

In this role, you will assess residents to identify their capabilities and develop personalised care plans aimed at supporting their physical and emotional well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older Australians while working within a supportive and values-driven team.

You will work closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator to develop and review programs that promote residents' independence and quality of life. You will also provide leadership and clinical supervision to the Lifestyle Coordinator and Therapy and Leisure Partners to ensure care plans are effectively implemented.

Your responsibilities include conducting assessments, monitoring residents' needs, and building trusting relationships with residents based on dignity and respect. You will listen to family concerns, provide guidance on changing needs, and refer for additional support when necessary.

Why Join Us?

At BaptistCare, we offer competitive salaries, tax-free salary packaging, discounted gym memberships, and novated car leasing. Enjoy health and wellbeing benefits, including free counselling, spiritual support, and nutrition advice.

Advance your career with up to $3,000 in study assistance per year, plus access to development programs like LinkedIn Learning. We provide a comprehensive orientation, ongoing support, and $1,000 annually for professional development.

About you:

You hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist and have a strong understanding of contemporary Occupational Therapy practices, particularly within the aged care sector. Your knowledge extends to the issues and challenges faced in aged care, and you are passionate about applying your skills to this important field.

You are skilled at working within a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to care planning and delivery through effective collaboration and negotiation. You understand the importance of a team approach and thrive in environments that require you to work alongside other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Above all, you have the ability to connect with older people, demonstrating empathy, understanding, and respect in all interactions. You are committed to providing care that maintains the dignity and quality of life of those you work with, ensuring that they feel heard, valued, and supported.

If you are ready to make a lasting impact and lead with compassion and purpose, we would love to hear from you.
