Through the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), we help reduce loneliness and social isolation for older Australians by connecting them with compassionate volunteers who provide friendship, companionship and a sense of belonging.
We are seeking an experienced and community minded Senior Coordinator to lead and grow our ACVVS program across the Perth metropolitan region.
With our new 5 year Contract which started in July, we are now funded to provide volunteer visitors to older people who are approved for Support at Home (SaH) services in their own home as well as at Residential Aged Care. This is an opportunity to combine your passion for people, community engagement and volunteer leadership while making a genuine difference in the lives of older Australians. The role is part-time, working 21 hours per week.
About the Role
As the Senior Coordinator, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the ACVVS program across your allocated portfolio. You will recruit, engage, support and retain volunteers, build strong relationships with Residential Aged Care Facilities, Support at Home providers and community stakeholders, and create meaningful matches that foster lasting connections between volunteers and older people experiencing loneliness or social isolation.
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, you will ensure the program continues to grow, meet funding obligations and deliver positive outcomes for participants while maintaining a strong focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities

Recruit, onboard, support and retain a diverse volunteer workforce.

Match volunteers with aged care residents and monitor successful relationships.

Build strong partnerships with Residential Aged Care Facilities , Support at Home providers, and local community organisations.

Deliver volunteer education, training and ongoing engagement initiatives.

Manage program reporting, compliance requirements and stakeholder communication.

Monitor program performance, budgets and funding outcomes.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and program growth.

You are a passionate relationship builder who enjoys connecting people and cultivating community partnerships. You bring strong coordination skills, can manage competing priorities and have a genuine commitment to improving the lives of older Australians.
You will ideally bring:

Experience coordinating volunteer programs, community programs or similar initiatives.

Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.

Experience recruiting, training and supporting volunteers.

Excellent communication, organisational and administrative abilities.

Experience managing budgets, reporting and data systems.

The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.

A current driver's licence , car and willingness to travel throughout your portfolio region.
