Senior Accountant – Reporting & Compliance | Norwest

About the role:

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in extracting and compiling multi-dimensional reports to meet our rapidly growing organisations external reporting and compliance requirements.

This new opportunity will see you combine your financial and management accounting experience, with your strong data and IT systems capability to drive synergies and efficiencies in providing financial data.

About You:

To be considered, you will have:
• Formal qualifications in accounting, finance, computer science or data analytics.
• Qualified Accountant CA or CPA.
• Minimum 5 years’ workplace experience in a finance team environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in IT systems and tools, with a strong understanding of database management, data extraction techniques, and financial software applications
• Extensive knowledge of financial regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements
• Experience in interpreting and implementing Funding Agreements, Acquittals, Reconciliations and Reporting
• Experienced in solving business problems with hands-on SQL coding & database integration.
• Experience with PowerBI and/or other leading analytics and BI platforms (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy).
• Demonstrated experience in using Financial Management Systems such as Technology One and Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organised with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
