About the role:
As a Residential Manager at our Kularoo Centre, you will be at the heart of our mission to provide exceptional care and support. You will lead a dedicated team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Your role will involve:
• Overseeing the Home to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
• Developing and implementing annual budgets in collaboration with the ROM and Commercial Manager Residential.
• Ensuring accuracy in claiming commonwealth subsidies and managing expenditure efficiently.
• Maintaining the Home’s accreditation and safety and quality standards.
• Implementing systems to monitor customer service actions and exceed stakeholder expectations.
• Providing leadership and support to ensure optimum staff performance and development.
• Engaging with residents and their families to create a community atmosphere that promotes well-being and happiness.
About you:
To be considered, you will have:
• A bachelor’s degree in nursing and minimum of 5 yrs clinical experience.
• A suitable management qualification accompanied by at least 5 years of experience leading senior operational teams.
• Demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of a large residential aged home.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing budgets.
• Demonstrated experience managing risk within aged care/health care settings.
• High level analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated change management experience within aged care
• Excellent organisation, delegation and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Exceptional leadership abilities that encourage best practices and high performance within a team environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
• Extensive experience in monitoring service quality and effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement within an early intervention approach.
• Excellent relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) and Australian Government Aged Care Subsidies and Commonwealth Aged Care Act 1997.
• Post graduate qualifications in dementia and/or palliative care disciplines - desirable
