About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and purpose-driven Manager, Aged Care Quality to join our Quality team and play a key leadership role in strengthening quality, safety, practice and continuous improvement across our aged care services.
Reporting to the Head of Quality, you’ll lead our team of Aged Care Quality Business Partners, working closely with operational and clinical leaders to embed quality systems, build capability and drive meaningful improvements in the experience and outcomes of the people we support.
This is a highly influential role where you’ll combine strategic thinking, quality expertise and people leadership to help shape how quality is delivered across BaptistCare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop the Aged Care Quality Business Partner team, building capability and creating a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Partner with senior operational, clinical and practice leaders to translate quality priorities into practical improvements across our aged care services.
- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of quality assurance programs, systems and processes across residential and community aged care.
- Monitor regulatory and legislative requirements and support services to maintain strong compliance and accreditation readiness.
- Identify opportunities to improve care, practice and operational performance, turning insights and quality data into meaningful action.
- Lead quality education and capability-building initiatives, ensuring our people have the knowledge, confidence and resources to deliver high-quality care.
- Oversee quality reporting and provide clear, insightful information to operational, executive and governance stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare partners and regulatory bodies.
- Identify emerging risks and support effective risk management strategies that safeguard the wellbeing of the people we support.
- Coordinate accreditation activities, including audit preparation, mock audits and continuous accreditation readiness.
- Contribute to Quality and Practice governance forums and organisational improvement initiatives.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Proven leadership experience in aged care, with a track record of leading teams and improving quality, compliance and operational practices.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience developing and evaluating quality assurance programs that drive continuous improvement and positive resident and consumer outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with service leaders, healthcare professionals and regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and managing risks to resident and consumer wellbeing, while strengthening risk management practices.
- Experience coordinating accreditation cycles, audits and mock audits, with a strong focus on ongoing accreditation readiness.
- Well-developed clinical skills and experience, with a demonstrated ability to build capability and support teams to translate quality and clinical expectations into practice.
- Strong communication, influencing and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively from frontline teams through to senior leaders.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse (Division 1) registration.
- Experience in quality, clinical practice and/or aged care.
- Experience leading quality improvement, compliance, accreditation and/or clinical governance initiatives.
