About your new role:

We are seeking a Residential Housekeeping Partner to join our aged care team in Margaret River at our Mirrambeena residential facility.

Working as part of our dedicated team means you will have the unique opportunity to enhance the well-being, comfort, and enjoyment of residents with a particular emphasis on providing a comfortable, clean, and homely environment.

You will contribute to the physical and emotional well-being of our residents by partnering with them to be involved in household tasks as meaningful life activities.

Duties:

• Ensure rooms are kept clean and tidy through undertaking laundry and cleaning duties, in accordance with shift guidelines.
• Replenishing of supplies from the storeroom including receiving and storing of goods
• Assist with moving large items around site including rubbish bins
• Comply with infection control measures and food safety requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Liaises with the multidisciplinary team to modify and adapt household tasks to meet individual residents' needs to use their abilities and enable their safe and active participation in tasks that provide a sense of purpose.
• Actively supports residents to assist with laundry and cleaning tasks as above.
• Uses flexible and creative approaches with residents to meet duty of care whilst supporting residents’ rights to exercise maximum choice and control during household activities.

Skills and Experience:

• You must currently live within the Margaret River area
• Cleaning or laundry experience is essential
• The housekeeper may perform laundry role or general cleaning duties
• Ability to complete a busy and physically demanding workload and respond to changing priorities
• Good time management skills
• Works well in a team environment
• Ability to engage residents through a person-centered approach to care and support
• Relates to the aged care population with empathy, understanding, and respect
• Willingness to obtain or provide proof of the 2023 Influenza vaccination & three (3) Covid-19 Vaccinations
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical if required
• Willingness to obtain or provide proof of a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check (refunded upon commencement)
• Willingness to obtain or provide proof of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules online training
