About the Role:
As a Counsellor/Group Worker with BaptistCare, you will provide trauma-informed, evidence-based counselling and group programs that support individuals, couples, children and families to build resilience and improve wellbeing. Working within the Community Services & Housing team, you will support clients from diverse backgrounds, including those impacted by Family and Domestic Violence, through compassionate and collaborative practice.

With experience in counselling and group work, you bring a trauma-informed and person-centred approach to your practice and are confident working with individuals, couples, children and families from diverse backgrounds.
You value collaboration, build genuine relationships with clients and colleagues, and are committed to helping create safe, supportive and empowering environments where people can thrive.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services (e.g. Psychology, Counselling, Social Work) or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Clinical membership of relevant professional body (e.g. PACFA - Psychotherapy, Counsellors Association of Australia or AASW)
- Demonstrated experience & skills in individual and group settings with those experiencing and/or perpetrating Domestic Violence (leading DV programs or groups)
