About the role:

BaptistCare Gracewood in Salter Point is a 110-bed aged care facility providing high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and homely environment.

As a Housekeeper, you'll play an important role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment where residents feel comfortable and at home. Your duties will include cleaning, laundry, keeping household areas tidy and organised, and assisting with furniture and bin movements.

You'll also support residents to participate in daily household tasks, encouraging their independence, choice and sense of purpose. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll follow infection control, food safety and workplace health and safety procedures while communicating respectfully with residents, families and colleagues.

Cleaning Shift: 7:00am–2:30pm

About You:

You can manage a busy and physically demanding workload while remaining flexible and adapting to changing priorities. You have strong attention to detail, good time management skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

You have previous cleaning experience, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals, and experience working with food. Experience in a similar role is highly desirable. You understand Occupational Safety and Health principles and are committed to maintaining a clean, safe environment.

You enjoy working with older people and approach your work with empathy, respect and a person-centred mindset. You work well as part of a team and are committed to providing quality, customer-focused service.
