About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and spiritually mature Chaplain to join our Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care team in Brookton and York. This role provides person-centred spiritual and pastoral care to residents, families, staff, and volunteers—regardless of cultural background, faith tradition, or beliefs.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy /pastoral care
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of Christian spiritual maturity with a pastoral heart
  • Active involvement in and recommendation from a local Christian Church
  • Chaplaincy or pastoral care experience
  • Current ‘Working with Children Check’
  • Experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary settings
  • Willingness to undergo a police check, NDIS check and other relevant checks as required for the role

Desirable Experience:

  • Understanding of the spiritual and pastoral needs of those living with dementia, loss, grief and bereavement, long term illness, relationship disharmony, mental health, disability, loneliness, or receiving palliative care
  • Visiting clients in homes and hospitals as appropriate
