• 7:00am – 2:00pm

• 7:00am – 3:00pm

Permanent Part Time – Night Duty (Mon–Fri)

• 10:30pm – 7:00am

About the Role

As a Carer, you’ll support residents with warmth, dignity and respect, helping them live well every day. You’ll build meaningful connections, assist with daily living tasks, and contribute to a safe, supportive and person‑centred environment. At Shalom Centre, you’ll join a warm, collaborative team that puts residents at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for Carers who bring compassion, professionalism and a genuine desire to support older people.

Your responsibilities include:

• Resident connection — Building genuine, trusting relationships and understanding individual needs

• Personal care — Showering, grooming, meals, mobility and daily living support

• Social engagement — Supporting activities that bring joy, purpose and connection

• Promoting independence — Encouraging choice while upholding dignity

• Care plan communication — Reporting changes or concerns to ensure accurate care plans

About You

You bring compassion, patience and a genuine desire to support older people. You deliver care with dignity, respect and professionalism.

You will have:

• Cert III Individual Support or equivalent (or be actively working toward completion)

• Aged care experience in residential or similar settings

• Competence in personal care including showering, grooming, mobility and manual handling

• Commitment to person‑centred care and resident choice

• Strong communication skills and relationship‑building ability

• Ability to work independently and within a supportive team

• Reliability and flexibility to meet roster requirements

• Basic computer skills for documentation and care plans

• A positive, respectful and empathetic approach to residents, families and colleagues
