About your new role:

We are seeking Residential Care Partners to join our aged care team in York. Working as part of our dedicated team means you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to our residents pursuing their unique personal goals and passions, enabling them to live full and meaningful lives. This means understanding what matters most to our residents and working together to ensure we deliver on this commitment every day.

Duties:

  • Promote the physical and emotional wellbeing of residents
  • Ensure person-centred support and support plans are at the forefront of everything you do
  • Partnering with residents to be involved in the meaningful activities of their life
  • Coordinate with other staff to achieve outcomes and liaise directly with nursing staff regarding any specific health concerns

Support with everyday activities such as;

  • Eating
  • Personal hygiene tasks (such as bathing, dressing, personal care)
  • Mobility
  • Household tasks
  • Leisure activities

 Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally you will hold a Certificate III or be willing to work towards attaining one
  • Commitment to providing a customer centric approach
  • Relates to the aged care population with empathy, understanding and respect
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check
  • Willingness to obtain or provide proof of Influenza & Covid-19 Vaccination
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
