About the Role

We’re seeking an Administration Officer with a strong focus on scheduling and rostering to join our team at BaptistCare Kalkarni  in Brookton, WA. This is a permanent part-time role (45 hours per fortnight), working three days per week.

Mondays and Fridays are required, with the third day flexible based on your preference and availability. Hours are slightly flexible too — choose between 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm.

As an Administration Officer, you’ll be the organisational backbone of the facility, ensuring staff are rostered effectively and residents receive the care they deserve. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and managing staff rosters in line with awards, agreements, and budgets

  • Notifying staff of rosters in advance and filling vacant shifts per protocols

  • Managing leave and recruitment to maintain staff coverage

  • Creating and maintaining employee files and liaising with People & Culture for contracts

  • Assisting staff with pay enquiries and liaising with Payroll

  • Drafting and distributing staff correspondence (e.g., appraisal notifications, sick leave letters)

  • Supporting compliance and participating in audits as required

This is a role where your rostering expertise, organisational skills, and ability to balance priorities will directly impact the quality of care we deliver to residents.

About You

You’re organised, approachable, and thrive in a busy environment. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in rostering and scheduling, preferably with electronic systems such as Kronos or UKG

  • Ability to interpret Awards and Agreements

  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, rostering systems)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Leadership experience and ability to work independently
