Job Description
As a Service Partner Supervisor / Maître d' at our aged care facility, you will be the face of our dining services, ensuring that every meal is a pleasant and memorable experience for our residents. You will oversee the daily operations of our dining room, manage staff, and ensure that all meals are served to the highest standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome residents and guests as they arrive in the dining area.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of dining room staff to ensure efficient and effective service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the dining room.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of dining room furniture and settings.
- Ensure that all meals are served in a timely manner and meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents.
- Address any concerns or complaints from residents and guests promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
- Train and mentor dining room staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of dining room operations and report to management as needed.
- Assist with special events and functions as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a Maître d', restaurant manager, or similar role.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Ability to handle difficult situations with grace and professionalism.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Previous experience in an aged care or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Certificate or diploma in hospitality management or a related field is an advantage.
