About BaptistCare Dorothy Henderson Lodge, Macquarie Park

The Lodge provides 66 single rooms for residents, and 14 secure rooms for those who need higher level of dementia support. All of our rooms have en-suites, large built-in wardrobes, and easy access to communal areas.

About the role

As a Carer, you'll get to know your residents by supporting their choices, preferences and needs during your shifts. AM and PM shifts are available, across the week.

Duties may include:

• Assistance with a wide range of Person-Centered care in accordance with care plans
• Assistance with medication
• Simple wound dressing
• Assistance with activities under supervision
• Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love

Skills & experience

• Previous experience as a Care Service Employee (desirable)
• Transferrable skills in providing care and compassion to others
• Certificate III in Individual Support is desirable or a willingness to obtain
• Experience working with residents living with Dementia will be highly regarded
