The role:

Provide high quality, evidence based occupational therapy services to our clients under the Commonwealth Home Support Program. These services aim to promote independence and restore functional performance to enable our clients to remain living at home.

Your team:

Due to growth, we are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team in a permanent capacity. You will be set up to work from home and will report to the Senior Occupational Therapist. You will be joining an established multi-disciplinary team who believe in discovering what’s possible in people’s lives and empowering them to live well. Together as a team, we help people feel loved, valued and respected.

About you:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency
• Post graduate experience working with a variety of aged care services, including the community setting
• Demonstrated ability to assess occupational therapy needs and develop individualised programs for aged care clients living in the community
• Knowledge of wellness, re-ablement and restorative care approaches
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, and independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated computer literacy and willingness to utilise required software to support a working from home position
• Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisations values through interactions at work
• Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license and a reliable registered vehicle with minimum of Third Party Insurance
