Casual | Macquarie Park NSW | $33.14–$37.43/hr (incl. casual loading) + 12% Super + NFP Benefits

Want to use your maintenance skills on your terms? You’re in the right place!

We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Officer to join our team at Macquarie Park on a casual basis. We work best with someone who can give us around three days a week but we’re flexible on exactly how that looks, and we’re open to a conversation about what works for the right person.

If you’re a skilled tradesperson or maintenance professional looking for consistent casual work with a genuinely supportive team, we’d like to hear from you.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • $33.14–$37.43 per hour inclusive of the 25% casual loading, plus 12% superannuation on top.
  • NFP salary packaging up to $18,550 per year further boosting your take-home pay.
  • Flexible scheduling — ideally around three days per week, but we’re open to discussing arrangements that work for the right candidate.
  • Consistent, meaningful work in a stable, well-established facility.
  • Employee Assistance Program — free, confidential wellbeing support.

THE ROLE

You’ll be a key part of the maintenance team driving change while being on the tools, managing a varied mix of preventative and reactive tasks across the facility. Real work, real variety, real impact.

  • Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across buildings, plant, equipment, furniture, fittings, and paintwork
  • Log, manage, and complete maintenance requests through the CMMS (Maintenance Connection)
  • Maintain accurate records of asset acquisitions, disposals, and maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Site Manager on budget planning and asset management
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with staff and contractors
  • Ensure all activities comply with WHS legislation and BaptistCare policies

ABOUT YOU

You’re experienced, reliable, and know how to manage your own workload. You might be semi-retired, between roles, running your own trade work, or simply looking for something consistent without the full-time commitment.

  • Solid hands-on maintenance experience — you’re someone who prefers being on the tools
  • Trade background with relevant qualifications (highly regarded)
  • Experience working with property-related contractors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with a CMMS (Maintenance Connection or similar)
  • Strong interpersonal skills — you work well independently and as part of a team
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Fire Safety Officer training (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in an aged care or healthcare environment (desirable)
  • NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
