162 apartments, panoramic city views, and a real community of residents who rely on the place being well looked after.
We’re looking for a part-time Maintenance Officer to own the maintenance across this site Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

THE ROLE
You’ll be the supporting maintenance presence under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor at Gimbawali Place, managing a broad range of preventative and reactive tasks across a large, active residential complex. There’s real variety here: buildings, grounds, equipment, communal spaces, and everything in between. You’ll report to the Maintenance Supervisor (Property).
- Carry out hands-on preventative and reactive maintenance across buildings, grounds, equipment, furniture, fittings, gardens, and carpark
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritise effectively across a high-volume site
- Liaise with and oversee contractors, tradespersons, and suppliers to BaptistCare’s standards
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activity, compliance checks, and contractor works
- Maintain site vehicles, plant, and machinery in good working order
- Ensure all activities comply with Social and Affordable Housing regulations and WHS requirements
- Work closely with the Site Manager and Area Manager (Property) on service delivery planning

BaptistCare’s largest social and affordable housing complex — 162 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments for residents over 55 and single-parent families. The complex features panoramic Sydney views, a central courtyard, children’s playground, communal spaces, basement carpark, and landscaped surrounds. A large, active site with real variety in every day.
ABOUT YOU
You’re organised, proactive, and comfortable managing a varied workload independently. Experience on large residential or commercial sites will serve you well here.
- Hands-on experience in a maintenance role, performing both preventative and reactive tasks
- Relevant trade qualification (highly regarded but not essential)
- Strong organisational and time management skills — you run your own day
- Experience working with and overseeing contractors and tradespersons
- Demonstrated commitment to Work Health and Safety
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Outlook; CMMS experience is a bonus
- Empathy, patience, and genuine respect for the people who call this place home
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment (or willingness to obtain)
