About the role

BaptistCare Maranoa Centre is seeking a Laundry Assistant on a permanent part time basis to deliver laundry services to our residents. You will enjoy working in a team who are committed and being able make a difference in the lives of residents in our home.

This position is for 57 hours per fortnight, working roster is: Week 1: Tues-Fri 7-1 & Monday 7-2 / Week 2: Tues-Fri 8-1 & Monday 7-2

Duties may include:

• Laundry duties
• Sorting & folding linen
• Working to achieve and maintain a high standard of cleanliness

About you

The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve.

Previous experience in laundry along with understanding of work health and safety practices will be an advantage. You will also have the ability to work unsupervised and take on physically demanding tasks.

About BaptistCare Maranoa Centre

Located in the picturesque township of Alstonville, Maranoa Centre sits on truly magnificent grounds. Our lush rainforest patch has over 30 species of established rainforest trees, including a Moreton Bay Fig tree where many people love to rest and read.

Maranoa Centre provides 90 beds for residents across all levels of care, including dementia care and respite care services.
