About BaptistCare Warabrook Aged Care Facility

Set amongst picturesque gardens and a host of convenient amenities, the Warabrook Centre is located in the suburb of Warabrook in Newcastle.

As a well-established centre that supports 153 residents, Warabrook’s trained staff provide kind, friendly and personalised services including respite, palliative and dementia care.

About the role

Reporting to the Residential Manager you will manage and lead a functional team to deliver exceptional customer service to our residents. The role includes but is not limited to:

• Provision of cleaning and laundry services
• Ordering, checking and storage of non-clinical consumables
• Re-stocking of non-clinical consumables to each area
• Auditing and ordering of linen – in consultation with Residential Manager
• Assist with follow up of relevant feedback
• Participate in auditing as required
• Monitor cleaning & laundry documentation & ensure compliance
• Assist with purchase / trialling of new equipment as required
• Assist with team recruitment and performance management

About you

The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve. You will also have the ability to work unsupervised and take on physically demanding tasks.

Relevant qualifications such as Cert III in Cleaning & Operations is preferred. Previous experience in laundry and cleaning, and leadership experience essential. An understanding of work health and safety practices will also be an advantage.
