        Care Team Supervisor

           

        The Role

        As a Care Team Supervisor, you will develop genuine connections with Care Workers, supporting them to provide quality care to our clients that will optimise their health and wellbeing and support their independence. You will create an environment for genuine care to flourish enabling team members to feel engaged and part of a team. You will be responsible for supporting the development needs of the team through face-to-face or online education.   

         

        Your Team

        Working in a team including 1x Care Team Supervisor, 2 x Assistant Managers and an Area Manager, you will be supported in your role, to help your team flourish! Your interactions with the scheduling support team and wider teams within the organisation to work towards a common goal of trusting, empowering, and making a genuine difference for our elderly clients.

        The Role

        Some key responsibilities in your role include but are not limited to;

        • Supporting new staff through the orientation, buddy shifts and probationary period, including the development and review of a probationary performance plan
        • Supporting team members to access leave as required by working in collaboration with the Schedulers whilst ensuring BaptistCare’s leave policy is followed. 
        • Participate in recruitment and selection of staff in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Team.
        • Supporting recruitment, ensuring BaptistCare’s policies and procedures are followed. 
        • Undertaking consultation and regular meetings as required with support service specialists such as HR, WHS and Recover at Work consultants to ensure the professional delivery of staff supervision.
        • Ensuring PDP establishment and review is completed annually. 
        • Supporting Care Workers as BaptistCare ambassadors to ensure they deliver on customer expectations.
        • Contributing to the overall performance and outcomes of your site.
        • Contributing to and ensure the maintenance of records and documentation.
        • Complying with Work Health and Safety (WHS) policy and procedures

        Whilst there is flexibility to work from home, as a people-focused role the expectation is to be office-based majority of the time. This ensures your Care Workers receive the best support from you as their leader.

         

         What Do We Need From You? 

        Essential

        • Certificate IV Training and Assessment or equivalent.
        • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource and/or Community Services or equivalent qualification, knowledge and experience.
        • Current Driver’s licence and vehicle.
        • Highly developed relationship building, teamwork and interpersonal skills.  
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
        • High level computer skills. 
        • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

        Desirable

        • Recruitment and Selection qualifications or equivalent experience
        • Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and experience delivering learning outcomes under the Aged Care Quality Standards.
