About BaptistCare Kularoo Centre

Set in the picturesque seaside town of Forster, Kularoo Centre is a well-established and valuable part of the local community. Located just around the corner to the nearby shops and amenities, you will enjoy the best of convenience and nature.

Designed in a country homestead style, the well-loved centre provides 160 beds catering for all levels of care, including respite, Ageing in Place, dementia, and palliative care.  


About the role

You’ll supervise and lead a team of Registered Nurses and Carers to ensure our residents are provided with excellent quality care, that supports their choices and preferences.  You’ll also support their medication management requirements. This role is Monday to Friday with preferred working hours being 8am-4.06pm with some flexibility with the start time.

This role will have a strong focus on Quality and the Aged Care Accreditation Standards. Duties will include completing audits, identifying and addressing any gaps found and overseeing the Care provided to the residents.

About you

The ideal candidate will be a born leader, possess highly developed communication, interpersonal, organisational and time management skills and have experience or an understanding of the Aged Care industry and Aged Care Quality Standards.

Skills and experience

  • You have a current registration as a Registered Nurse without notation
  • Minimum 2 years' Aged Care industry experience as a Care Manager (including supporting residents living with Dementia)
  • Competence in Medication Management Systems
  • Experience using MovingOn Audit Sysem (desirable)
  • Confidence in completing audits against the Accreditation Standards and creating action plans to address gaps identified
