About the Role:

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real difference to our residents every day? Aurum is on the hunt for an enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our friendly aged care team. As a valued Kitchen Hand at Aurum, you will:

  • Deliver consistent high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers to the prescribe service standards.
  • Prepare food and beverage products to the prescribed standard operating procedures/ duty statement.
  • Complete cleaning tasks as prescribed by the standard operating procedures/ duty statement or as directed by the Chef on duty.
  • Advise Chef on duty of any catering-related issues and needs where required.
  • Complete any operational cleaning requirements as required or directed by the Chef on duty.
  • Attend team meetings as required.

Roster:

The successful applicant for this position will be able to work a mix of morning and afternoon shifts, availability to work weekends. 

Skills and Experience:

  • The ability to align to our Values 
  • The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a high-performing team
  • A passion for delivering great service and a fantastic eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • A good understanding of HACCP/food safety programs
  • Cert III in Cookery or Hospitality (Desirable but not essential) 
  • Capacity to lift up to 20kg
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check

Previous experience working in customer service, hospitality, or within a commercial kitchen is highly desirable but not essential.
