Housekeeping Partner

About your new role:

Working as part of our dedicated team means you will have the unique opportunity to enhance the well-being, comfort, and enjoyment of residents with a particular emphasis on providing a comfortable, clean, and homely environment.  The role involves carrying out laundry and house cleaning tasks, as well as assisting with moving large items including furniture, beds and rubbish bins. 

Duties:

  • Ensure rooms are kept clean and tidy.
  • Replenishing supplies from the storeroom including receiving and storing goods
  • Assist with moving large items around the site including rubbish bins and furniture
  • Comply with infection control measures and food safety requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Schedule paperwork for each shift to be completed. 
  • Site common areas are included in tasks along with the resident rooms.
  • Assistance with laundry tasks is a possibility.

About You:

  • Ability to complete a busy and physically demanding workload and respond to changing priorities
  • A high level of comprehension and attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to engage residents through a person-centered approach to care and support
  • Relates to the aged care population with empathy, understanding, and respect
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check as well as NDIS worker screening check
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical as required
